Rice's Recent Legal Issues
Rice missed the initial part of this NFL campaign due to an league-mandated ban for his involvement in instigating a multi-vehicle accident on a Texas roadway that left multiple people injured. He was sentenced 30 days in jail and probationary supervision after pleading guilty to serious offenses.
On the field, he concluded the year with 53 catches for 571 receiving yards and five TDs as the Chiefs went with a losing record and failed to qualify for the postseason for the first time in a decade.
