Best-selling writer for children and TV personality David Walliams has parted ways with his longtime publishing house, as confirmed by the firm.

A spokesman for the publisher commented: "After careful consideration, and with the guidance of its recently appointed chief executive, HarperCollins UK will not be releasing any new titles by David Walliams."

It has been reported that the decision was taken subsequent to an review of allegations of conduct deemed unsuitable involving women.

The company did not confirm the reasons for its decision, noting: "It is not our policy to discuss confidential company decisions."

A Prolific Literary Career

Walliams ranks among Britain's most best-selling authors for kids, with sales exceeding over six tens of millions of copies globally in dozens of tongues.

His first children's book, *The Boy in the Dress*, was released through HarperCollins in 2008.

Some of his works, for example *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have subsequently been turned into TV movies.

His bibliography includes more than 40 books combined, encompassing a Christmas book titled *Santa & Son*, which came out under HarperCollins last autumn.

Television and Literature

His initial claim to fame came on the broadcast sketch program *Little Britain* and has been honored with National Television Awards for his role as a panelist on *Britain's Got Talent*.

He received an OBE in 2017 in recognition of his work for the charitable sector and arts community.

This move occurs subsequent to the naming of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's new chief executive this past October.
