The former president's Granddaughter Seeks Professional Guidance from Tiger Woods Prior to LPGA First Appearance

Young golfer getting ready for major competition

This young athlete boasts considerable social media presence

Kai Trump can count on numerous prominent cheerleaders when she starts her first LPGA appearance later this week.

The 18-year-old athlete, who happens to be related to Donald Trump, was granted a tournament invitation to participate at the Annika competition in the Sunshine State.

Her grandfather, an avid golfer, possesses multiple international courses and regularly competes against Kai.

"He's pretty good. I shouldn't elaborate but we have some close matches," she mentioned.

She mentioned that her grandfather, unable to come, advised her: "Simply stay calm."

"He basically told me to compete and enjoy myself," she added.

"From my perspective, he's just a normal grandpa. He's not attending this weekend. He's occupied with running the country, making him quite busy."

As an amateur, the golfer has competed in only three events in 2024 and maintains position 461 in AJGA rankings.

But she's able to seek guidance from Tiger Woods, in a relationship with her mother.

"He stands as the greatest golfer worldwide," Kai stated.

"Furthermore, he's a more impressive individual. He suggested me to go out there, enjoy myself, and go with whatever happens."

The golfer will compete against some of top competitors in professional golf at the competition, such as second-ranked Nelly Korda, England's golfer Hull, Lexi Thompson and last year's winner Lilia Vu.

The LPGA stated that Kai's presence helps introduce golf to new audiences, especially with the next generation.

Kai maintains substantial online presence and has started an exclusive clothing and lifestyle brand.

Her first tee time at 5:30 PM GMT.
